Lost emails on BTconnect Exchange

Hi,

 

Two days ago I created a second email account on btconnect.com and I started having all sorts of problems. First the new account I created can't receive any emails. When I test from Hotmail or other accounts I get "Delivery to the following recipients failed."

 

Also I always keep a copy of my emails on the btconnect.com server as I have the "[x] Leave a copy of messages on the server" but when I checked today the server was clean as a whistle and I lost whole day worth of emails.

 

 Anyone faced a similar problem and is there a way to ask BT to restore the emails?

I also lost all but my INBOX because I had backed that up.

I had alot of trouble getting the new software to work-even used the 'tool'.(MAC OSX MAIL)

After it was finally working, it started to only use a former account depite having checked 'use only...', so I deleted the old account-NEVER thinking it would wipe all SENT, DRAFTS. 

We received no warning of this-and I had years of past mails that were important and now simply lost.

It is disapointing and sloppy-to say nothing of this oversight affecting  1000's of businesses- that British Telecom didn't properly warn us of this dangerous possibility.

Does BT creates back up on their end in case there are emails that need to be retrieved which we accidentally deleted or removed on user's end?
