Established BT Voip user happily using my advertised landline number.
Temporarily tried inappropriate wifi router.
Reverted to BT Voyager 220V:
Now only incoming callers dialling 056xx xxxxxxx can get through. Now told that I need to pay for call divert. WTF?
I hate to think of the repercussions if this is a result of BT policy.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Restore my faith and tell me what I need to do.
Yours faithfully with Christmas Blessings

Solved! Go to Solution.
Minicheddar,
Landline number, but now all sorted:
Bad connection on Telephone backup line cord.
Incidentally,
I've found copy of my order for Business Broadband Voice (VOIP) with BT local business dated 13/06/06
The service was connected soon after.
Many thanks for your help
Have a good Christmas
Chris
Hi Chris,
A couple of questions for you:
1) Are you using Broadband Voice or BT Hosted VoIP?
2) How long have you been using your landline with the above?
Thanks,
Minicheddar
Minicheddar,
I'm using;
BT Business Broadband Voice.
I've had this service since;
sometime between June and October 2006
(Old bills etc. archived - not to hand)
regards
Chris
Hi Chris,
Am I right in thinking that the number that has disappeared is a Geographic Number on your Broadband Voice service?
Number porting (bringing a landline number to Broadband Voice) wasn't available in 2006.
Thanks

Hi Chris,
It sounds like I misunderstood your setup.
Glad to hear that everything is up and working again.
