Just installled and working this morning but shocked to find this "business" hub doesnt support Wireless n !
There is no mention of this anywhere and as the residential hub makes great virtue of its n connection, it is natural to assume the business hub is no worse. In fact in the "what are the differences between residential & business hubs" section, there is no mention of wireless standards at all.
I feel really let down by this ommision. Only option it seems are to configure my old netgear adsl router as a wireless access point (meaning I now have 3 boxes/wires/ energy consumption) or can I buy a proper n router instead of the business fibre hub which will work with the business fibre modem - anyone have any experiences of this? - ideally a gigabit dual channel wireless - any recommendations?
BT say they have no plans to update the router from its 1990s wireless standard.
I agree it should be n in this day and age but at least you got a hub, our 2701 should have been delivered a few weeks ago - hope it's not as buggy as the 2700hgv if it ever arrives
BT's decision to only supply wireless g disgracefull. A bit like buying a Ferrari and when you go to pick it up you find out it is fitted with a Ford Mondeo engine. They obviously decided to do this before they realised they had to make their Fibre available to other ISP's. If other ISP's supply Wireless N they will wonder why everyone will chose the others instead of BT. What with BT's decision to cap all P2P downloads including leagal downloads an absolute disgrace. I will not be renewing with them when my contract is up.
