I ordered a new phone line at the beginning of this week. We have a cable on the premises and as far as I can find out it just requires a socket fitting on the end. I have been told it's not going to be done until the 3/3/11. Surely it should not take that long. Sudbury Suffolk area.

Yes spoke to them today, nothing can be done. Not a very impressive start!
Same problem for me, 39 working days for an appointment with a BT Engineer to open the phone line. 2 months to handle a basic activity of BT Business !

Hi nearly the same problem, a very nice sales person convinced me to return to B/T after I had been very happy with Virgin Cable for a number of years and it is turning out to be a night mare. So far 4 engineers have been out and done nothing, I have spent hours ( and B/T can check ) ringing India and nothing seens to change. The engineers say I only do the phones and no none will come in and look at why the tele or internet is not working. I set the equipment up the best i could but have loads of cables left and still no one from B/T will come and help.
Yes B/T mat be cheaper at the moment but getting it to work is another thing.
No tele or internet from B/T for over a month since the first engineer came is not fair.
Please Please can the B/T Forum Moderator help.
Well we are a new on line business and I booked to have an exisitng line reconnected and booked this A MONTH ago and when the day came for switch on it never happened! Yet i was offered this line at the time of booking, i declined as i was also having a new line put in too and thought i would save money and have them go live at the same time!
1. No one called me to let me know, I called BT a fault was raised
2. Alll my initial start up adverts were linked to the number that is not connected!
I am disappointed with the service I have recieved but i am in the system and NOW I WAIT! This is so unfair in the current climate as it is tough so you want to set a good image, I think BT have let me down!
I am expecting a call back on Tuesday for them to let me know how it is going in the system so could be kept waiting even longer!!!
