New to all this and confused?

Hi

I have set up a free site with Google sites. www.ah-elec.co.uk I have had an e-mail to say my domain has been registered with BT. Is this automatically done? and do I need to pay for this? as I didn't ask for it to be registered yet.

If my domain is now registered can I now change my default web address to www.ah-elec.co.uk? as it is currently googlesite/site/blah blah!!.... and will this mean that when you type in ah-elec.co.uk (without the www.) it will bring up my website?

Thanks!

Hi

It sounds like you have registered a free .co.uk domain through 'Get British Business Online'.

Although BT Is the registrar of the domain, the support for this isn't through BT Business, they have their own help and support online through the 'Get British Business Online' website.

I hope this helps

Kind Regards

Fiona
