 Hi all,

I thought I'd post some general guidelines about how to remove an eBilling account online, as (going by the number of posts here) there are quite a few Forum Users who would like to cancel their eBilling account.

First of all, a bit of background info.

There are three Billing options:

* Paper only (no eBilling);

* Online and Paper (i.e. customers receive a paper bill and are also able to view their bills online);

* Paperfree (online only).

Customers can sign up to eBilling (be it paperfree, or online and paper) and manage their account(s) online at their own convenience at www.bt.com/business/youraccount or www.bt.com/business/billing (both bring you to the same page).

There are two stages to creating an eBilling account:

a) You create a bt.com profile (that's the first bit, where you add your name, email address, security question, ect);

b) And then you add your billing details (i.e. the BT telephone and account number).

Note: there is no limit to the amount of BT accounts that you can add to your bt.com profile.

It is possible to remove your eBilling account details by:

1) Clicking on the "Your profile" link;

2) Clicking on the "edit details" link (in the "Accounts section"; you may have to scroll down the page a little bit to see it);

3) Clicking on the "remove account" link (next to the relevant account if you have more than one account registered).

At this point you should get a message saying:

"Are you sure you want to remove this account from your profile?"

You can then cancel your request by hitting the "cancel" button, or proceeding with the request by clicking "remove".

This will mean that you will no longer be an eBilling customer, thus receiving paper bills only.

Please note: It is also possible to edit your bt.com profile online (i.e. change the name, email address, security question. It is however not possible to change the login username).

eBilling can be a very useful service for a number of reasons: you can check your latest bills, you can make a payment at your convenience with a Debit/Credit card without having to make a phone call, you can edit your Direct Debit details, all of this online and at your own convenience, you can check your recent calls usage, check the bills you’ve received in the last 6 months, change your Billing address, order/cancel calling features, etc.

For those who are interested in finding out more on eBilling, have a look at a demo version of how bills appear on bt.com, or at some of the FAQs on bt.com.

I hope this helps (I got a bit carried away here with all the info, sorry! It'll make some nice bedtime reading Smiley Happy)

Kind regards,

Stephanie
