We have several licences for Office 365 Small Business via BT. This was OK in the past as we used to buy the CD versions of the full desktop office applications for each PC (The office web apps are a total waste of time in my opinion) They were quite reasonably priced for a 3 user licence.
Anyway...now Microsoft have changed their business model it seems and they want everybody to buy Office 365 so they have made the CD versions stupidly expensive (eg Office Home & Business is now £220 for 1 user)
But no problem Microsoft say, just buy Office 365 Small Business Premium for a few £ more each month and you get the fully functioning desktop applications too...wonderful !
Err... except that BT dont sell that... they only sell Small Business so I'm stuffed. If I want the email accounts all linked up and working I HAVE to buy the Office 365 licences via BT and then spend £220/user on top of my Office 365 fee to get properly functioning office desktop programs. Have called BT to check and they say yes this is how it is.
Any suggestions?
what specific Applications are you wanting
The latest Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote & Outlook

Word ppt excel and outlook (so home & student is no good)
Yes that's definitely cheaper but still £180 per user.... on top of my existing Office 365 subscriptions
The issue is still that I'm having to buy Office 365 through BT and then on top of that buy all the applications, why can't I buy it all within the Office 365 environment?
because thats not the Product your Paying for Basically,
the product through BT only offers the Webapps, yes Microsoft offer a diffrent subscription but that subscription isn't aviable in the BT Scope,
the only thing you can do is order it directly with microsoft and move the domain email service to them directly
Yes I realise all that....I've come to that conclusion too, just checking if I was missing anything...
Another reason to leave BT then, we'll move all our hosting away I think.
