I was wondering if anyone can tell me why my anti phishing alert keeps flashing... It has only just started doing it and this is the error message I keep getting.

Internet Security Pack was unable to contact the Anti-phishing lookup servers. There may be a problem with the Internet, the servers, or your connection.
Be extra careful when providing your personal or financial details in E-mails and Web Sites. Double-check the authenticity of the the web site. If in doubt, contact the organization that the site claims to represent. If still in doubt, do not provide any details.

Can anyone tell me how I can stop this?

Thanks in advance.

yes. the reason is that at the point the phishing filter tried to contact the server... the server was not there/no found.

either your not online or the server isnt available temporarily.

sounds like you have BTs internet security pack which BT stopped providing and supporting so you'll have to uninstall it and install their new version. its by mcafee and i found it to be much better!

Hi,

Just checking my spam folder and came across a phishing message purporting to come from BT.  I have tried to paste but it will not be accepted by this website.  I have checked for BT Fraud and Investigation, but can find no site or place to send possible phishing messages in case they have not been seen before.  Can the person controlling this website please contact me with an email address to forward it to.

Thanks

Hi,

If I remember rightly the email address is abuse@bt.com, or it might be internet.abuse@bt.com.

Maybe a kind mod will confirm.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.
