Yes it is possible.
Double click the picture, select the "i" symbol underneath (image properties) and put the URL to be hyperlinked to in the URL field.

I am trying to hyperlink an image from kitco.com , which is a live update graph. onto home page I have tried many many times, including putting the url or pasting the html code, BUT never comes live when publishe. ditto for a webcounter image.

Hello
When you go to "image properties" and save the changes and then go to editing page before you publish is your picture there? When you publish does it come up on the live site?
