Hi there,
I'm posting on behalf of a customer. They have BT Business broadband, and have been assigned a static IP for some time now.
We recently attempted to setup an internal web service hosted on said IP, and I noticed at this point that the static IP assigned to them, has a reverse DNS name assigned to it, which obviously previously belonged to another customer.
Could anyone please tell me where I go to have this old name removed, and a new one added?
Many thanks 🙂

The only people who are going to be able to change the PTR record are going to be your broadband provider.
Just give them a call or email them, it should be simple enough.

Nice one. I thought it was never this easy to do.
