hi, we've sucessfully upgraded to office 365 apart from one problem, sending emails on the new settings.
If I try the smtp.outlook.com port 587 settings, with TLS turned on and authorisation required set to match my pop3 settings it doesn't send any emails. I get the follow in my status monitor:
.
.
(00000792) read (40/0)
(00000792) Got complete TCP Message (Size=40)
(1) 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
(1) SMTP Server: Wrong Sender Name!
(1) RSET
(00000792) SSLRead failed: Got=0
(00000792) Got complete TCP Message (Size=0)
(1) SMTP Server: Reset Error!
(1) Mail Transmission aborted
I'm running on the old mail.btconnect.com port 25 still at the moment but i'm sure that will eventually be turned off !
Please help.
Hi,
For reference bumping a post a day old is just a no.
Anyway to the problem as hand, the log looks like it's coming up against a mail relay issue, but I'm not sure why if you're on Office 365.
I would advise contacting the Helpdesk in case something has gone wrong with the migration, and to check your settings.
