A Paypal Merchant account is as good a place as any to start,
closely followed by finding an accountant and getting up to
speed on all your websites legal requirements such as the
'Distance Selling' regulations. Remember as a trader you are
required by UK law to provide a business postal address* and
landline telephone number where you can be contacted on the
website where any visitor can find it.
(* a PO-Box number does not count as an address)
The UK Inland Revenue has already started going after some Ebay
traders for tax dodging so forget about slipping under the radar.
