Switching to BT Business Fibre, setting up the hub and static IP's.

Hi BT,

So I upgraded my home Fibre service to the Business version, received the hub ok, the engineer was supposed to show up today between 8am-1pm, but no one showed up

No phone calls, no emails, nada.

Additionally, the tracking number for the order no longer works, when I input it in to your tracking system, the page just freshes and goes back to a blank box, tried this on two machines, using IE and firefox.

Can someone assist?

Can I install the hub myself? I'd rather not be fined £150, so wasn't sure if I could.

Hi adresch,

With the Business Hub 3 and 5, if you have a single static IP, the static IP option in the hub should be set to off, as we auto assign the IP to the line.

The static IP setting in the Hub 3 and 5, should only be set to on if you have a range of 5 or 13 public static IP's.

I hope this helps.

Decided to set up the hub myself, seemed straight forward enough.

Bit odd though, there's a Static IP address tab, which says it's turned off, but the broadband page shows my static IP ok.

Turned on the static IP function, put in my IP, although the Subnet masks listed in the drop down menu, don't match the one supplied in my email, but it still seems to work ok.
