Think your site has been hacked?

If your sites have been hacked, then you will need to determine the cause and fix the script or change the password that caused the problem. Then after you have found and fixed the problem, reload the site from your most recent "known good" backup.

If you just reload a site without fixing the problem, it will get hacked again in a matter of hours or minutes. Hackers just wait for people to bring sites back up so they can do it again.

Customer service may be able to help as they may have a recent backup, but that backup may not be an "unhacked" version. And customer service cannot go through site scripts looking for holes. The Site5 Terms Of Service clearly state that you are responsible for having good backups of your site and making sure your site is secure.

You should always be in a position to recover your own sites. Having said that, I know customer service will do what they can to help you.

There seems to always be a tendency to "blame the server" if you are hacked. The server is rarely compromised. Yes it can happen. But if it did happen, we are surely not going to post it in the public forum as an invite.

So please do not start threads about a "hacked site".

LOL! I think you posted that on the wrong forum

Since the  BT business forum started only one person has made a reference to

having a website hacked and that was in way back in  2009!
