Weeks went by when we did not have to read this every day, I guess you were on vacation? If I have to trawl through this every day to clear my inbox, I will just delete my account. Why can't you put this into an email to each joiner? Or let us filter out these saccharine platitudes.

The rationale behind these posts is to welcome new members to the community and give them the information they need to become an active user. We're now reviewing the way in which we do this to see if there's a better method and will take your suggestion into account.
