To Connect a handsfree phone to the same line as the versatility phone line

Is is possible to connect a handsfree phone to the same phone line as a bt versatility phone? I have bought a BT studio 4100 plus phone and have tried to connect it to the same line as the BT versatility with a double adapter, the new phone works but not the versatility. i need a handsfree and the versatility to work at the same time. Any ideas?????

No this will not work, the only way to do it would be to connect the hands free phone to a spare extension port.

That is right. If you have a spare extension, you should be able to connect your hardsfree phone set. It should be plug and play.
