Lots of information on how to uprade to Infnity fibre 80/20 for home users, including an online form, but nothing for business users.

When and how can we upgrade?

The engineer never did turn up, so if you have been regraded to 80/20 and have been told an engineer will visit, best to take it with a pinch of salt

Why bother sending out a new router? I don't even use the original one, I've got a Vigor 2750!

Not sure whether to hold off asking for the upgrade until they've ironed out all these £5/month and engineer visit gremlins!

Hi Comtecs, how much does the Vigor cost you? 🙂

We were due to be upgraded this morning - I received an automated SMS, and after rebooting the router/whatever we're now getting more than 40mb/s downstream from speedtest (max so far is about 56mbit down/17mb up).

We received our new BT hub thing in the post the other day - which I'm told by my employees is the same as the residential one.

Hopefully th engineer will not waste his time in coming out.

The business side of BT is unbelievably unorganized and just generally pathetic. The call center staff are clueless and often blatantly rude. As someone who works in IT for major corporations, law firms, banks etc. I would never recommend using BT under any circumstances because they just don't understand how to correctly treat a customer. They have misunderstanding of the customer/seller relationship.

I called up BT which i hate doing, id rather put a drill bit through my temple than call BT again after 6 months of wasting my time.

Anyway so i called them up. After wrestling with the pathetic voice activated phone system, i got through to sales. They make me repeat my phone number, even though i just entered it. Then the woman on the phone has no idea what i am talking about and tries to make out as if i am confused and should be calling residential. I ask her what she does not understand, she tells me that I don't have to be rude and hangs on me. Typical.

So i called up back and get through to sales again, this time the inept individual on the other end is aware of the upgrade but says that they can't do it. That i need to speak to customer options. He transfers me, i wait 20 mins, reception picks up. START Again. Who am i, what do i want, why i am phoning. *sigh*. I need to speak to customer options, i get transferred. wait 20 mins and I hang up because I don't have to time for this **bleep**.

Sound familiar ?

I would like to upgrade but I am seriously very apprehensive about it. I just know 100% for sure that it won't go smoothly, high chance ill be without internet completely because it, high chance ill be worse off than i was before and i high chance ill regret.

But I am the fool for doing it anyway.

Oh and this forum software sucks, no browser spell check.

I called several times and was passed round several departments.  Some new nothing about the new speeds others said it was not available and no date when it would be even though the website shows the new speeds are available.

Eventually I was told that I would need to pay an additional £5 per month even though I already have option 2 and was told when I ordered Infinity in March that I would get this additional speed automatically for free.

Finally I was told that because this is a business account I would need to contact the account manager.

Not happy.
