Warning about BT Assurance Plus

I was sold the BT Oneplan discount option and one of its features that attracted me was it included BT Assurance Plus which is suppossed to give a higher level of response when you have a fault and include additional equipment such as mobile kit to cover you when your lines are down.

So when both of my broadband lines failed taking out all my VOIP phones for my sales office guess what - nobody I spoke to on the faults side had ever heard of BT Assurance Plus and they totally failed to deliver any of the promisd services. I have now been trying to get this resolved by a complaints speacialist who is also not getting any reponse from her own people as to how BT Assurance Plus is delivered.

I got it as part of my discount plan but I would warn anybody not pay the extra £9 per month for this service as it is a complete con thought up by sales and cannot be delivered by any other department. You have been warned.

Hmmm sounds strange, what number did you call? there are two different numbers for BTAssurance and BT Assurance Plus, if you have BTAP you need to call 0800 990088 to report any BT fault, is that the team you were contacting?

No I wasn't calling that number because I did not know it existed as I was never sent any information about how to use the service. However several of the call centre people could see I was a BTAP custmer because it was on my records but they didn't know what to do with or where to direct me!!!!!!

Did you try it? Did the number work for you?
