I write because I am so frustrated with BT for not providing support like they promised when I ordered three websites to be built by them.
I chose BT because I thought I could not trust another company to host my websites. The websites were builde at the end of 2011. They have been showing until last week when one of them disappeared.
I was on the phone to BT for continuous 8 hrs. During this time a number of people from different departments said they will call back. No one did. A number of people cut off all together. The rest passed me on from one department to another. A number of times I thought the problem was about to be solved, few people managed to explaine what the problem was and gave me a number for another department. Each time the answering machine would ask similar questions and transfer me to a department in which I am forced to explain the problem again, only to find that the person I was speaking to said ' its not this departments problem' and then give me another number.
by the end of the day I was fairly clear what had happened but could not get anyone in BT to help solve it. Apparently BT cancelled my hosting packages associated with the websites in APril 2012. I had no idea, the websites were showing, even aquired good rankings and my business, minibus and coach hire booking agency, was begining to work.
I was told that the website disappeared because the hosting pack was cancelled in April 2012 and that the other two websites will soon disappear also because those hosting packs were also cancelled. Now the fee for hosting is £5.00 per month, there is no way I would not pay this money, I was told the cancellation was due to non payment.
When I looked into my paperwork, I realised that since the cancellation no money has been taken, which is understandable. I was given no notice, no communication at all that there was a problem. Because the websites were working, the enquiries coming in, i was under the impression that all was well. I only found out about this when one of the websites disappeared.
At the time I write this, I have no idea what is going to happen. Some people in BT said that all that needs to be done is to purchase fresh hosting packs and associate them with the domain names of the websites. However, I do not know how to do this and I can't find anyone in BT to help.
I am still waiting. In the meantime I fear that when I loose the other websites, my business will close. I can not believe that an organisation like BT is treating their customers this way.

Thank you for the response. i did not get back to you because I thought it was going to be resolved by your second line support. However, here i am month later and we are no further forward.
The website domain is www.minibushirenottingham.com . It was built by BT. Have a look. It worked fine for first year or so and I was recommending BT to my friends. Three months ago it became jumbled up and frankly is destroyed. I have lost business because I used the site for advertising. It has created so much damage. Please help... Many thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear that.
I have looked at the site on our side and unable to find out what is causing the Issue.
In this case I will contact BT Websites and will ask them to look into this urgently.

Thank you for the response. I had a phone call from your wesite design people. they suggested that I pay another £370 and then £30 a month after that to get the site back.
I explained that, the website wsa built through BT. I paid BT the money at the time. Since then I have been paying hosting fees. During the last three months I have lost all business and aquired bad reputation because i posted the link on the advertising sites and directories. all this through no fault of my own and i am continuing the pay the hosting fees.
Someone needs to look into this urgently. I would like to have the website back please and should ideally be compensated. This is not fair trading. I expected better from BT.
If this matter is not concluded soon then i will have no choice but to take all my bsiness away from BT and raise a complaint to the appropriate regulatory bodies. I have started to keep a log of all the phone calls I made and the names of the people I have spoken to so far. the amount of time I have spent on this during the past three months is anormours. I have lost time, money and reputation.
