Wizard is not intuitive - please help!

I have spent many many hours trying to set up my new website, but (as a beginner) find BT's "wizard" difficult to use.

Main difficulties at the moment include:

1.  I've set up a master page and have ticked the box on every web page to ensure that the master page is used.  However, when I attempt to edit any page on the website, there are items showing that have been deleted from the master page, i.e. "MY NEW WEBSITE" and also the web address of my new site both appear near the top left-hand corner, on top of the graphic I have positioned there.  This is despite me deleting these 2 sets of words from the master page when originally setting it up.  How do I make these unwanted words/graphics go away please?!

2.  I need to have one of the pages (Terms and Conditions) as a PDF file - how can I do this please?  Does it have to be done as a link?  If must be done as a link, where can I store the PDF?

3.  If I create a new page without using the master page, can I apply the master page without losing any elements of the original page?

Sincere thanks in anticipation of some expert assistance, using language a complete novice can understand!

1. Check the master page again as those have probably returned to that page after you have deleted them. They are actually part of the code and are drawing information from the "Sites" section of your easy site wizard. Probably the easiest work around is to replace these in the "sites" section with something small, like a period, and then either putting a picture over them or changing the font color to match the background.

2. To have a pdf you would need to upload the file via ftp, you may have a built in tool to do this called "file manager" under website management depending on the type of hosting package you have. You would upload it into your "public" folder and then create a hyperlink to something like yourdomainname.co.uk/pdffilename.pdf

3. Unfortunately you cannot add the master page template to an already created page at present although this is functionality that they are looking into including in future releases of the product. Currently the only way to do this would be to recreate the page with the master page template selected.

Hope this helps.

Thanks duskjome.

Re 1., I just cannot understand how BT would use such an awful piece of software, that still shows items that have without doubt been deleted from the master page.  Don't they want to keep & please their customers?  I have wasted so many hours of my valuable time because of their incompetence!

Thanks again.
