So, My Dad is moving houses this month. And dealing with moving the business broadband has been a pain in the a*se. For instance we aren't a business, I have it under a residential house for my "data" use, E.g. server.
Anyway. The problems we have had, Engineer suppost to come out to install "business" line. Okay fair enough.
But, We needed extra phone sockets for the Sky boxes, and getting ethernet done by someone else. Aww no sorry the engineer can't do that. he isn't booked. What the hell does a engineer actually do.?!!
Next when asked on the phone about moving the business broadband without the busines phone line. Sorry that can't be done. Well where it is at the moment isn't a business we had residential here. and No business line was needed. So why the change.?
and no broadband until the 30th at least. Guess what we're going back to residential!!! Good Bye Business broadband. Soo annoyed....
No reason why the BT Technician cannot install additional sockets. You need to have requested that when you ordered the new line and be prepared to pay for the installation.
The Tech will install a single master socket and that is what you are paying the basic fee for.
There is no reason why you cannot have Business Broadband over a residential line unless the rules have changed recently.
