aahhhhh i can;t work it! getting email alises to go to own inboxes?

I've just completed 2 websites, but ma having problems with the email aliases. i cna get the multiple alises to go into my btconnect.com inbox but what i really want is say nigel@.........co.uk , nige@..........com, victoria@.........co.uk etc to go into their own in boxes as otherwise it seems pretty pointless to have individual emails. also makes it impossible to communicate with members of the crew individualy if all going to be in same inbox.

any ideas or help on how i cna work this, do i need to set up a server? seperate accounts or what, i have read through the help pages time and time again but cna;t find the information i ma looking for.

i was told i needed a dns re route but i don;t have ip addresses for my domains?

can you tell i'm confused? have i confused you? does anyone know what i am tlaking about? Smiley Very Happy

Hi

It sounds like you are assigning all the email alias's to your primary account, and either not setting up secondary accounts or not assigning the alias's to them.

A BT Business Domain alias is address is redirected to a BTConnect address, please see this help and support section for an explanation of how the alias works. You need to first log into the primary account and set up a secondary BTConnect Email Address for everyone that you want to have a mailbox, details on how to do this can be found in this help and support section.

Once the @Btconnect.com email address's are set up for every user, you would then need to add the alias and apply it to the @BTconnect.com account you want that alias to be directed too. Details on how to do this can be found at this help and support section.

Once this has been done any emails sent to the alias will be directed to the @btconnect.com email address you assigned to that alias. If each user is going to use the webmail facility, you will need to change the 'from' field in webmail to the associated alias. So any emails being sent from webmail have the alias address and not the BTConnect address. Instructions on how to do this for both the primary user and any secondary @BTConnect accounts please see the following help and support file.

I hope this helps

Kind Regards

Hi,

I know it's hard to explain this stuff in text.  Would you mind posting your web page addresses?  Tks.
