I have now spent 3 weeks trying to connect internet to our sky+box. we have all the ethernet stuff and the cabling is fine... but signal connection fails every time. my tech expert said the skybox was the probable culprit, but the sky engineer who called today said the box was fine but bt did not accept the connection. bt, of course, say it is all sky's fault. the only winner here may be virgin if no one is able to find the solution. I am pretty ragged out after umpteen expensive and fruitless phone calls.
If you are using BT Business Broadband and the internet works, then my guess is that the issue is with the Sky box or Sky. BT have stated many times that they do not block any connections.
