When I have problems with email or internet connection I check, when I can do so your status pages.

Today at first I couldn't get on internet, but after rebooting computer and router I could but I can't send emails.

Why is that I find problems which sound like the problems you report but they don't cover my area?  This has haappend to me several times in the past.  Seems that the information you give is incomplete.  I am in Highlands - not listed below but I had to reboot my router this morning and email is not working just now.

 Planned
works were undertaken in the Broadband network last night. The areas impacted
were West Midlands, Wales, South Wales,
Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Fife, Perthshire, Angus,
Stirlingshire and West Lothian
. If you are in these affected areas you
will need to reboot your router. BT Apologies for any inconvenience caused by
these essential works. Information on any other known Broadband problem is
available from our service status line on 0800 169 0199

I am sorry that you seem to be experiencing some difficulties, Cedas.  The alerts we publish on the website, Help and Support are updated as soon as we have additional information.  Also, some broadband issues can have a "knock on" effect, spreading into other geographical areas.  This is not always possible to predict accurately, it depends on the precise nature of the difficulty.

I think the best advice anyone here on the forum can give you is to Contact Us as soon as you have any difficulty at all with your broadband service.
