Can anyone advise me on how to use / upload the Google sitemap that EasySiteOptimiser generates please?

When using the Easy Site Optimizator tool it will automatically upload these changes, however it will take some time before the changes reflect on google's servers

so does this mean a sitemap would be ineffective
