help with ftp

I am trying to upload my web site but cannot get ftp to work

when i click on access ftp and then go to page and open ftp site in windows explorer i get a pop dialog box saying:

an error occurred opening that folder on the FTP server, make sure you have permission to access that folder

Details

200 type set to A

227 entering passive mode (209, 235, 144, 9, 113, 65)

550: No such file or directory

even if i change the url to be a sub directory i still get the error, i have also tried an ftp client but to no avail, it will not connect - please help

This could be a few things. Definitely check your username and password again, that's possibly the issue but I don't think so based on that error. It sounds like your ftp is trying to connect to a folder that does not exist, which would be a server side issue. If you check the user and password and are fairly sure those are correct I would call in or email support with your domain to double check on the issue.
