I have two different forums and neither can connect to the mySQL DB server sql5c30a.carrierzone.com - I see no announcement regarding any downtime or service issue - can someone please advise.

Addition: even the BT Website Centre using Web Site Management to connect to the above mySQL server returns a blank "Error" message.

Dear EvilCensor
I would like to apologise for any inconvenience the downtime of our server has caused. I
think the issue was resolved now. Can you try connect your database and see whether its
working now.
Thank you for using BT Business Support Forums.
Kind Regards,
Santhosh

Thank you very much for letting me know it's functioning now.. emailed tech support last night and got a reply this morning that suggested my entire email wasn't read, concluding with:
"Unfortunately I have also been unable to access this and as such I have escalated this case to our Advanced Diagnostics Team for further resolution.
Please allow up to 5 working days for this to be completed."

Have dealt with many hosting companies and would appreciate a number or service status for hosting as seems to be the "norm".. kinda felt high and dry with the downtime - also it'd be good to know the cause and if others were affected.
Once again thanks for the reply.
Regards.
