trouble connecting to ftp

I was hoping someone may be able to help me,

I have been trying to connect using filezilla for some time, these are the settings i have been using:

host: ftp.thenumberfour.co.uk

username: thenumberfour.co.uk

password: ********* (my usual login password)

its set to passive

yet the only thing that happens is: connection established, waiting for welcome message, and then could not connect to server. 

I do not normally have any problems using filezilla, does anyone have any advice?

Check you don't have frontpage extensions enabled in your website centre (Site Builders > Frontpage manager)

I have tested FTP access for you and it is working fine.

The details you are using are in the correct format so should be OK.

As Colin has verified that there is no fault with the FTP details, try rebooting your router and try again as it may just be a probem with your current IP address.
