BT now billing me for an account closed in November 2022

I used to have a BT Business account to do my webhosting. I retired not long after covid and cancelled my contract with BT, and I have a copy of a document in November 2025 confirming that this was the case and that no payment was due. However recently I have been receiving threatening letters about bills they say I haven't paid. I rang them a month or so again, and the person I spoke to investigated this and said the account was closed nearly 3 years ago, it was a mistake and to ignore the letter, and yet I am still receiving letters threatening to take me to court. They don't state what the bill is for, but say I owe £285.12 from 1st June 2025, and a further £211.12 from 1st July. How can I stop them doing this?
