BT Business Complete Wifi Plus ("Discs" either not connecting, or keep disconnecting)

Hoping someone can help.

I have just taken delivery of a Business Smart Hub 3 and BT Business Complete Wifi Plus square "discs".

I already have an existing BT business account with a smart hub 2, so this is replacing this.

My office is around 2000sqft spread across two floors. We have been using Deco mesh devices to provide wifi and also physical ethernet sockets on the decos in each room to allow us to plug in devices that don't support wifi. All in all I have six deco devices, and was told by BT I could replace these with the smart hub 3 and six "discs".

From googling I can't find anything about these BT Business Complete Wifi Plus devices. Actually my own question I asked on the community comes up first in Google! So that isn't very helpful.

Today I spent the day trying to set up this new network. This is what I did:

- Unplugged the Smart Hub 2
- Unplugged all the Deco units
- Setup the new Smart Hub 3 making sure the SSID and password were the same as the Decos
- individually plugged in each "disc" to the smart hub 3 with the yellow cable to pair, then Unplugged and repositioned the discs to where they needed to be.

The "discs" are placed the following distances from the hub, with partition walls between the hub and extenders

Reception - 2m from hub via partition wall
Studio - 5m from hub via partition wall
Sales room - 10m from hub via a brick and partition wall
Office 1 - 5m from hub upstairs through wooden floor
Office 2 - 3m from hub upstairs through wooden floor

No matter how closer or far I place a disc, they either do not get any connection (flashing orange) or get a connection and the lose it.

Also when setting up, the BT android app keeps telling me something went wrong and then the router starts telling me CHOP-800 errors so I can't check the extenders in the Web dashboard or the app. The router got to the point where I couldn't make ant changes to it without an error.

I'm either doing something very wrong or these things aren't any good. The deco system worked really well. The wifi throughout the whole building was good and only suffered minor periodic drop outs.

On the other hand, I can't even get this BT system working out of the box.

There is next to no information available on these online.

The BT website does state "If you are using Complete Wi-Fi Plus extenders you can connect one extender to another via Wi-Fi to extend the range." but there is also no information on this anywhere.

I must point out that these units are not the circular ones. See photo.

Hi medialinx

If you have followed the steps on our guide to setting up your Complete Wi-Fi Plus and are still having issues, I would recommend talking to our technical support team, you can find their contact details here.

Please let me know how you get on.

I've spoke to your tech team who have allocated a person to deal with it. However when he called and asked was it fixed I told him no. He then sounded very confused as to what to do next. I was told someone would be in touch and now we are a day on further and I haven't heard.

Nearly little information is accessible on these websites.

According to the BT website, "If you are using Complete Wi-Fi Plus extenders you can connect one extender to another via Wi-Fi to extend the range." However, no information on this can be found elsewhere.

It is important to note that these units are not round. View the picture.
