BT Business Smart Hub - not so smart

If your smaller customers have these, be prepared.

What a piece of crap.

Just come back from my side job at a restaurant. Their ADSL connection went down today, won't be fixed till Monday for $reasons.

The not so smart hub's local DNS does not work when there is no Internet connection. Instead everything resolves to the address of the hub. So the entire LAN is then screwed. Why BT? Just why?

So I had fun editing hosts files on PoS systems so they could find their on-prem database.

There's a new router going in there tomorrow, that's for sure.

I agree, the Business Hub 2 does not have port redirects, only port forwarding. So, port forwarding will forward all ports to only one destination, whereas port redirect will forward a chosen port to a separate destination. How can this have been overlooked in the design of this version of the firmware?
