My parents currently have both BT Business and Residential accounts. I’d like to consolidate their services into just the Residential account to help reduce costs. However, I’m unsure how to retain their BT Connect email address and phone number, which are linked to the Business account, if we make this change.
Is it possible to transfer the BT Connect email and phone number from the Business account to the Residential account? If not, could I opt for the cheapest Business account that excludes broadband, allowing them to retain their email and phone services?

Hi ,
You can transfer the telephone number to Residential, however the email can not be. You can just subscribe to Microsoft Office license for the email, but as everything is going digital you will not be able to keep only a telephone line, and the basic broadband package starts from £29.95.

You have to keep the associated broadband package with BT Business to retain the BTconnect email address.
Can't they just give up the residential account(s)?
