BT FTTP ONT plug directly into Sonicwall TZ400

I have just had FTTP installed by BT Openreach. They have installed the new BT ONT which connects directly to the fibre cable. Can I plug my Sonicwall TZ directly into the Openreach ONT box and just user PPPoE credentials? or would I need a router in between?

Yes, you can plug your SonicWall TZ directly into the BT Openreach ONT box and use PPPoE credentials. Just ensure your SonicWall is configured to handle PPPoE connections. ringsize-chart.com
