BT are saying that our business can only have fibre if we pay for a £250 private lease. However a private line was installed for the business located either side. Having researched the fibre availability in the area, I can see that the vast majority of properties and businesses in the street (over 5 different postcodes) all have fibre.
It seems a strange coincidence that the properties between the commercial businesses that use a private line have no fibre and there is no plans to connect them to fibre.
We are unable to update our PCs due to the poor copper connection and to be frank, why should we all pay for a private line to be installed at an inflated rental cost? The pole connecting ours and the other properties is just 10 foot away.
Any help/ advice on how to tackle gratefully appreciated.
