UNIFY DREAM MACHINE SE - Will it replace the Business Hub ?

I have recently bought a Unify Dream Machine SE and started with BT Business.

I would like to know if i am able to do away with the BT Bub and use the Dream Machine as the primary router ?

I am very new to Unifi so still exploring it's possibilities.

Many thanks and Happy New Year.

Regards

Michael

Hi,

Connecting your UDM to the ONT  requires your PPPoE username and password, which can be obtained by contacting BT Business Support. I had to go down this road when I connected my own router to the ONT.  I just told the agent that I am using my own router and could they supply my Network Userid and password, which they gave me without any issues.

Just be aware that BT don't support third party equipment, so if you call them in the future with a problem with your broadband, you may need to temporarily reconnect the BT Business Hub.
