wifi extender smart hub 3

I have a smart hub 3 for business and a smart hub 2 for home. When I connect a wifi extender to the smart hub  2 it connects almost immediately , but it won't connect to the smart hub 3, is the smart hub 3 restricted for wifi extenders?
