BT Onephone decommissioning

HayleyS
Member

As the BT Onephone system is being decommissioned in March 2026, I will be glad to cancel our services with BT & go elsewhere for our telephony. This is due to a long history of awful service & underhand sales techniques which have cost us tens of thousands of pounds, nearly causing our business to go into liquidation. I am however currently being bullied by BTLB into signing another 3 year contract with BT. I need assurances that I will not be charged any termination costs or charged until the end of our contract period which ends mid 2027 for something that BT is enforcing but I don't seem to be able to get any answers!

Hi HayleyS

Just to confirm - you are already in contact with the LB team? They would the ones dealing with this and could advise if ETCs would be applicable.

I have been contacted by 5 different LB team members but it seems that as soon as they realise I am not interested in extending my contract with BT or there is no sale for them, they don't reply. Its very difficult to get hold of anyone either by e-mail or telephone, the communication is awful

Hi HayleyS

In that case, I would just go straight to BTOP - portal.btonephone.com or via telephone 0345 154 8844

Totally agree.  We have been suffering with BTOP for 3 years.  We are leaving BT altogether in March whether they like it or not!

I am bring ignored by our LB team, they refuse to confirm that we are free to leave BTOP in March without penalty, now they're ignoring our emails.  wonderful
