I own a small business and am very happy with BT cloud works.
Our copper connection will be switched off at the end of this year.
We have been told we need a fibre connection and sign up for a minimum three year contract. Problem is my business is likely to be sold within this period and the new owners have their own telecom provider - they wouldn’t want to novate the BT contract. I would therefore have to pay a termination fee running into thousands of pounds. I’m happy to continue with a rolling contract . Surely I can’t be forced into a new contract because of the copper switch off?
Hi waddingtonbob
You will need to move onto a digital solution imminently. This would involve a new contract. I would recommend asking Sales for a shorter contract - they can sometimes offer 1 or 2 years.
