I was pestered by a Bt local salesman to upgrade our system from an avaya to yealink and was told it would not cost us more money than we were already paying but our average 3 month bill has gone from around £500 to about £1000, there have also been problems been with installing the system and took them 5 months to finally get it all working whilst they have been charging us for both systems, I'm still waiting for a credit.
I also found that they had been charging us for maintenance on an old system as well for 5 years they have now credited us with £2600.
I find BT very unhelpful and all they seem to want is to grab as much money as they can, I have been dealing with the Crawley Local BT office
