Arrived home the other morning to find Open Reach installing a new telegraph pole 2 houses away and attaching new phone lines. Since then my business broadband is dead slow, like dial up and phone is working okay.

I have rebooted BT madem several times in 24 hours and still having the same problem.

Contacted support by e.mail but not heard a thing.

Ani ideas.

Sure i have read before that this may take a few days before i am back upto speeds i had prior - 4 mb

Any advice or ideas.

Pretty annoyed that BT never wrote or contacted me about this work especially as i am a business customer.

your correct - Once your broadband is disconnected it can take a few days to get back up to speed. I take it it's now ok, if not I'd report it as a fault.

BT won't contact you regarding any pole work, unless it's on your land. If they had to contact everybody whose line they worked on & wait for their ok- work would never get done. They would have changed the pole for an engineering reason
