We have used BT lines and equipment for 30 years or so (apart from an extremely unsuccessful experiment with TalkTalk) and generally we have been reasonably satisfied.
Something seems to have happened at BT recently however - a great change for the worse. The service is nothing like as good as it used to be - in fact the frustration in trying get problems fixed is enormous. That we are not the only ones is clear from these forums.
I suspect that BT have cut their support staff and contracted out a lot to call centres abroad.
It would be lovely to be able to move easily to another provider. Unfortunately it isn't easy and BT know this.
