I have read that the fair use cap enforced by BT has now been increased to 300gb.

During July - due to me exceeding 100gb - I was placed on a 'connection managed system' which severely restricted my internet use during the evenings. This was due to expire in 1 month providing that I stayed under the 90gb mark this month.
My question is: -
What date did this 300gb cap limit come into effect?
Thanks

Hi James,
Why is a 'Premium Business Service' playing second fiddle to a Residential Service - the residential service received this increase in September?
What are these 'further' changes that are taking place for Business customers in November - please?
J
Probably,
because people should be working on business connections using internet browsing and downloading email and occassionally using broadband heavily.
Whereas home users, can download movies, music (legal or not), use websites like facebook which are picture intensive, play computer consoles online and various other activities which involve alot of information transfer
Hi JACKERL360, sincere apologies for the delayed response but I have been away recently. I can't go into detail about any of the other changes at this stage but I can tell you that the 300GB limit change is being brought forward to this month ie October, I'll update this thread when the change has been made.
James
James that is fantastic news. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Hello all, I can now confirm that the Fair Usage Policy threshold is set at 300GB for BT Business customers.
Cheers,
James
Awesome! Thanks again James.
Will we be getting a usage monitor at all?
Thanks
J
There are no plans to introduce a monitoring tool at the moment JACKERL360, but once more I have passed your comments on to the relevant team.
James
So the changes that took place in November were just for new customers only?
I have received no communications from BT in relation to changes in terms & conditions.
Is there a number I can phone to find out my usage?
