Can anybody tell me how to add a hit counter using EasySite Pro?

In that case, it seems likely you are using the Free Webspace.  You'd have to source your own counter script and insert the code manually.

Thanks JohnE,

I am using the free webspace. However, If I had chosen the EasySite Wizzard instead of the Pro version i would have had the counter available to me under SiteSparks. Under normal circumstances I would have expected to get more out of the Pro version and that is why I opted for it. This is a usual BT situation reminding me of why I left them in the past.

I think BT should give me an answer why the hit counter is available in one version of EasySiteWizzard and not in the other.

Hi Tweeker,

Can you please confirm if you are using the Easysite Wizard to create your free webspace provided by BT Business, or if you are using the paid for webhosting such as the starter webhosting or advanced webhosting, and as such the enhanced webhosting features.

Kind Regards

Fiona,

Obviously you have not read all the messages.

I am using the free webspace with EasySiteWizzard pro. And the hit counter is not available.

If I have used just the EasySiteWizzard (not pro) I could have had the hit counter.

Summarising this, with the latter, this feature is included but with the pro version I have to upgrade at a cost to get this feature. Seems stupid, sounds stupid but thats what it is.

I am sorry for this, Tweeker.  The cut-down version of EasysiteWizard Pro was made available as a "courtesy" to all our customers, albeit in a cut-down manner.  Obviously, you would need to upgrade in order to have access to all of the features.

There is no reason why you can't use a "3rd" party script, you can insert page code in EasySiteWizard pro.  There are many easily available scripts, some very easy to use and some more advanced.

Thanks for your help JohnE,

I know its not your fault.

Yesterday I upgraded my package, what a difference.

Now I have major problems.

Lost three weeks work because I have to start all over again.

Brilliant!

The url links that worked before now they don't on the new domain.

i.e. a link that works with a text field does not with an image.

Have to find an answer to that befor I can get stuck into rebuilding.

Regards.

Tweeker, if you can let me have the domain name via a private message with a brief outline as to what you wish to do, I'll take a look and see if we can find a solution that causes the least inconvenience.

It's not that it's cut down but rathert the free webspace is still running on version 7 of EasySiteWizard Pro whereas the paid for webspace runs on the newer version 8 which was released a few months ago.

Version 7 did not contain the Hit Counter function.

Unfortunately i am not sure when/if BT is planning to roll out version 8 to the free webspace.
