Hi
I currently have a voip service with a landline number local to the area in which I live it. I am now wanting to move to BT so wondering if I am able to port this number to BT ?
The VoIP provide is Sipgate.
Thanks
Anand
Hi,
Typically the VOIP service with Sipgate will need a broadband connection to run across. So you will need a line and broadband service from a provider.
Send me a PM and I will send you further details.
Hi
I have the same query which have been unable to find information online or speaking to BT customer service/new lines in the UK, or Technical department call centre in India.
Importing a geographic number from a VOIP company back to a BT physical line.
The number was previously at the same residential address before I rented out the property and ported my number to VOIP 3 years ago, thus the area code and number is supported by the local exchange. I no longer wish to rent the property and am moving back in. If a new BT temporary number is issued when I sign up for a new line, when line is active, I want to clarify if BT have a procedure to request a number port via Openreach or directly with the VOIP company - in my case is Voipfone.
Thanks
