We are a small company and have just had a three line multiline installed and expected to be left with three line boxes for our three lines to be connected to our telephone system. However we have been left with one line box with one connection and we cannot figure out how you separate this across the three lines to the PABX. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello,
Sounds like, thats what it is, a multiline. I feel this is a line that has 3 lines to one linebox and your pabx should have software to separate them.
I think it would be better to contact sales and ask for featurelines x 3. then an engineer will fit 3 lineboxes and will cost 54 pounds a month plus vat. The lines would be installed free if you have a 5 year contract, just remember to dial 9 before the number. I trust this helps.
Regards Paul.
Thanks Paul, we have an Orchid PABX which does not have the required software, I presume we will need to either get a new exchange of change the lines as you suggest.
Thanks again for the response.
Regards, Keith
Hello,
I think i would go for the featureline option and ask them to remove the three numbers and put them on separate lines. you would have to make sure you tell them which line box you want your broadband on.
I assume your pabx has leads coming out which plug into normal linebox sockets?. I not the engineer would have to fit lineboxes without a socket on the front plate, these are mainly used on alarm lines.
Lastly make sure you get a credit on the bill for the existing lines if you think bt sales gave you the wrong service, anyway happy ordering on tuesday.
Paul.
Hello,
I await your exciting news after you have phoned, and to hear how you got on.
