Voyager 200v networking and Configuration

Hi,

I have three questions if I may?

1.:

We are using a BT Voyager 200v.  I need to have the ability to remotely administer the PC.  whilst I can do this with no issues when the PC is turned on, I would like the ability to "Wake" the PC when it is turned off.

I am happy with what needs to take place in the Bios so no issues there, however I am unsure of what settings need to be changed within the router itself.  can anyone please help me with this one?

2.:

what is the default Admin username and password for a Voyager 220v?  I can remember changing them but then I installed in some years ago (2005/2006) and have never had call to re-visit it since.

3.:

I need to network two PCs so that they can share data but would also like to ability to remotely administer both and wake both (Independently) when they are turned off.  happy that the Voyager can be connected to two machines (one via Ethernet and the other USB) but will this enable me to network both machines together? or just internet connectivity?

would I be better off with a different router that is capable of networking multiple machines physically and maybe wirelessly too? (wireless would make life so much simpler in this scenario but not convinced I can wake a machine via the internet if it is only connected wirelessly)

thank you in advance for all and any assistance you can provide.

regards

Arran

Hi,

Yeah you'd be far better changing the router to a wireless one with multiple Ethernet ports.  The Business Hubs fall into that category, but I don't know if they'd fit the bill with the PC waking thing.

To be honest I don't know what makes would have something along the lines you're looking for though.

Hope that helps a little.

Cheers.
