Hi.
I'm using Easysite Wizard Pro to build my website. When I try and submit my sitemap I'm getting an error from Google saying it's a html page. However.. all pages opened using ESW Pro are .html
does anybody know how I can get this sorted??
Cheers
Kevin
I'm not a BT customer - I caught a thread via a search that I thought was wierd then came across here - lol and people struggling so I thought I help out if I can I do this for a living web design and hosting. So no real need for BT - lol.
I suspect that the file maybe there but the system isn't setup to recognise .xml
A way to check is to either goto your web browser and type in the URL to where you placed the file and you should see it. Alternatively and my preferred route would be to use something like filezilla http://filezilla-project.org/ and with account information that should be provided to you login and see the file there - if not there then drag and drop it across...
Cheers. it's not there though.
all I obviously need to do now is save the site map into the public folder, but it's beyond me.

Can you use FTP access - via say filezilla or any other ftp software cuteftp or smartftp.
If you have msn I can talk you through it...
HI. I've just downloaded filezilla and if you're ready.. I'm willing. I went online and "spoke" to BT about the problem. asbolutely useless!!
I was told to "you need to connect to your website via FTP using any FTP client or console (you are free to find some information regarding these applications in the Internet) using the following credentials:
Host name: your domain
User name: your domain
Password: your current domain name password
and upload your site map to the /public folder
how on earth I am supposed to do this I have no idea.
lol - will be online again later on - do you have to hand
ftp url = ftp.yourdomain.com is the norm
ftp username = is usually your account login or a specific ftp username that your cpanel can generate
ftp password = again usually either the account login pass or you can generate via ftp.
I've sent you a PM with my MSN details so that we can get you hopefully sorted. lol
