I receive emails from a particular group to my btconnect account and this then gets forwarded by the btconnect account to my btinternet account. The forward works, I receive the email in my btinternet account.
The original sender - the group - get a response which says the btconnect forwarding is btconnect forwarding spam and can't be delivered. Why are they getting this? They should not be getting anything about the forwarding. The forwarding is nothing to do with them.
There is another puzzle in the return path in the header of the email I receive in both btconnect and btinternet accounts. The header shows a return address at btconnect, which does not exist, sendername@btconnect.com - which is nonsense. The return path should show the actual sender's email address (it should be sendername@gmail.com). The Return Path is "myname+SRS=ilBaz=UE=gmail.com=sendername@btconnect.com" which is obviously incorrect (no such address sendername@btconnect.com). The sender does not have a btconnect account. The X-OWM-Env-Sender has the same nonesense in it.
I'd put the whole header here but it contains confidential email addresses. Is there someone who could look at this?
