Alternative to BT Callminder

We have a digital phone line via broadband with BT, Yealink W73H phones. We use BT Callminder,  but its useless . Can we use a more traditional phone with integral answer-machine with this system, and if so does anyone have any suggestions - we're a small charity with one line.
