Trying to access the Cloud Voice Express app from my Android phone has been giving a "down for maintenance, try later" message for about 4 days.
Problem is that on 7 Sept I set the "landline" number to divert to my mobile whilst away abroad . . . I now can't un-divert it.
Nor could I make a couple of calls I wanted to make while I was away. [Better news was that the places I was at had excellent Wifi that meant I could make calls on WhatsApp for free).
Anyone else with the same issue?
I've the Cloud Express thing for about 2 years, with FTTP for about 1 year and all I can say is I'm overwhelmingly disappointed with the whole thing . . . fortunately I'm a very light phone user on the BT line, relying on a Vodafone mobile for important matters.
Spoke to BT - they said uninstall/re-install - did that and Google Play said the app wouldn't download as it wouldn't work on my 3 year-old phone.
After some badgering they admitted that the app now only runs on Android 13 or above - my phone is Android 11 and can't be upgraded (other than by flashing which I'm no going to risk).
I really, really wished I'd never moved to the cloud stuff - it's simply not thought through or fit for purpose. I'm not going to buy a new mobile - WhatsApp gives me the call facility I can use.
Hi rob-SMR
In the terms and conditions for the CVE service, it advises you need to have a maintained version of Android for it to be supported for the app. Unfortunately, Android no longer maintain support for 12 and backwards.
